The purpose of this two-hour training is to increase clinical social workers’ knowledge about the common causes and symptoms of various types dementia, describe key family-centered care planning needs and interventions, and increase capacity for identifying and addressing the needs of family care partners.
Teaching methods:
Live online didactic presentation based on a set of slides that address the identified learning objectives;
Video, facilitated case examples, activities, and group discussions to explore and problem-solve scenarios faced by attendees in their clinical work;
Digital copies of instructional slides and additional resources provided for each trainee.
