Please describe your professional experience (this will be used on Therapist Finder)
My name is Cathie Bautista, MSW, LCSW. I offer psychotherapy to individual adults (from college age to older adults) and couples struggling with a variety of life challenges. With a Master's degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in Social Work, I've gained invaluable experience with over 15 years of supporting individuals dealing with grief, trauma, PTSD, addictions, dependency, life-transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. My view is that the best therapeutic work is done through a trusting, nonjudgmental, supportive relationship. I enjoy helping clients build a healthier outlook in life, developing a strong sense of self, resilience and accomplishment by providing compassionate, comprehensive, and goal-oriented mental health support. I use evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), and Mindfulness. I am a mature, empathic therapist, and believe that therapy is a partnership and I aim to provide care in a safe and collaborative environment. I am interested in your unique experiences and goals, and I will work with you to establish a treatment plan that fits you.
