About Me

Please describe your professional experience (this will be used on Therapist Finder)
Hi there, I'm Cynthia!
Are you feeling unhappy, stuck, or frustrated, having a hard time creating the life you want? I can work with you to figure out what's getting in your way and how to address it. I love getting to know people and helping them build their lives. I'm experienced and skilled in providing therapy, mixing different styles or modalities. We can examine any thoughts and habits that might be unhelpful (CBT orientation), practice mindfulness and learn ways to improve how you handle emotions and relationships (DBT), find meaning in difficult times and events (existential), and look at your past to identify what from your history is affecting you now (psychoanalysis/insight-oriented), all while recognizing that the context in which we all live includes discrimination and inequity (systems approach). Then we can figure out ways to help you feel better now, while also working to create the change you want to see in yourself and your life longer-term.
If you are feeling suicidal, please contact 911, go to the nearest hospital, or call 988 (a suicide hotline), because telehealth isn't an appropriate platform for crisis. I hope to meet with you soon.
