About Me

Please describe your professional experience (this will be used on Therapist Finder)
Hello and welcome. My name is Dara Wells-Hajjar and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW#94374) based in Los Angeles, CA. I’m currently offering online individual psychotherapy to adults located anywhere in California. If you are here, you are probably seeking out additional support at this time. Asking for help is no small task and takes tremendous courage.

As a therapist, my style is warm and empathic. I’m a deep listener and aim to see, hear, and accept all parts of you. I meet my client’s where they are and walk alongside them on their journey to where they want to be. Life can be beautiful and excruciating at the same time and it can help to have someone walk alongside us as we journey through life’s ups and downs. I believe therapy is a partnership, a powerful journey we are on together towards self-awareness and self-compassion.

My approach is holistic, trauma sensitive, and integrative. I draw tools from Psychodynamic Theory, Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and other evidence-based approaches. I care deeply about the mind-body-spirit connection. I'm also trained in EMDR.

I’m passionate about creating a safe space for you to connect to your strength and values, heal wounds, reclaim your narrative, open your heart, search for meaning, foster self-compassion, and grow.
