This talk will cover symptoms of ADHD and assessment tools, brief history, etiology, prevalence, resources, and treatment, including use of medication and compensatory techniques.

Objectives:

Understanding of symptoms with commonly found examples of how sx manifest.

List of resources to use with clients and for yourself if you would like more detailed information.

Understanding of how to assess for ADHD with a template of an interview for ADHD.

Understanding of etiology and how the brain is involved.

Understanding of possible co-morbidities and their frequency.

What can make assessment of ADHD especially challenging.

All meetings are from 9:30am to 12pm with networking before and after presentations. Bring business cards, flyers etc. Members earn 2 CE units at no cost. CE credit for non-members is $20.00, no charge to attend without credit. MSW students are encouraged to attend.

This course meets the qualifications for 1.5hrs of CE credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCCs as required by the CA BBS. PCE #1
