Steve Sodergren, Executive Officer of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), will present an overview of the licensing process, including registering as an ASW or AMFT hours for licensure, and taking the exams.

Cynthi Burnett has worked in California state service for 24 years, and with the Board of Behavioral Sciences for 12 years. During her first 10 years with the Board she worked as an Enforcement analyst for complaints, criminal convictions and discipline. She is now the manager of the Registration, Examination and Cashiering unit and continually works with her teams to implement internal improvements and help applicants navigate the registration process.

Lisa Cigelske has worked in California state service for 14 years, including 7 years with BBS. During her tenure with the board she has been responsible for various workloads within the licensing unit. When the pandemic hit she created Facebook Friday's aimed at helping applicants and licensees navigate the application process. She is now the Licensing Manager working with her team to streamline and improve the clinical exam application process.
