LCSWs Returning to the Office During COVID: Emotional and Physical Safety

A one hour webinar for LCSWs which will review dilemmas when considering returning to the office from providing online psychotherapy. The urge to return to the office is powerful for many LCSWs. Understanding the meaning it has for us and our patients will give us the ability to be objective and make good decisions.

1. Understand the meaning for LCSWs and our patients of moving to and from videoconferencing
2. Identify the issues that need to be considered to create a safe physical environment
3. Consider factors to determine whether moving back to an in-person practice is emotionally preferable to videoconferencing and why
4. Understanding the emotional meaning of using masks and physical distancing in the office

About the Presenter:

Laura Groshong, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Seattle, has been psychoanalytically trained, and works with severe personality disorders. She has been in clinical private practice for the past 43 years. She was a Registered Lobbyist in Washington State for 25 years. She is the Director of Policy and Practice for the Clinical Social Work Association. She has written and lectured extensively on clinical and legislative issues around the country.
