Kim Madsen, Executive Officer, Board of Behavioral Sciences will speak about navigating the licensure process. This topic is especially relevant for students and ASW’s.
Direct from the source, join us to learn all you need to know to make the licensing process as easy as possible. Kim Madsen, Executive Officer of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), will present an overview of the licensing process, including registering as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), accruing hours for licensure, and taking the exams, supervision requirements, the “6 Year Rule”, and more. She will also discuss new legislative changes.
The San Diego Chapter of CSCSW holds its meetings on the first Saturday of the month from September through Junefrom 10:00 am to 12 noon, at the Jewish Family Service building, 8788 Balboa Avenue in Kearny Mesa. Meetings begin with a half hour of mingling, networking, and community building, followed by our program. CEU programs meet the requirements for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs as specified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; CEUs are FREE to our members.  EXCEPT THIS PROGRAM, WHICH WILL NOT OFFER CEUS.
