Presenter: Ana Rosa Najera, LCSW

Description: This workshop include lecture, discussion, and participatory activities on the following topics:

  • Physical, mental, emotional, and relational effects of stress
  • Neurobiology of stress-trauma continuum
  • Mindfulness skill-building through self-reflection and movement
  • Application of behavior change theory to support development of regular skill practice

Learning Objectives:

Clinicians will:

  1. Differentiate the phases of trauma treatment and understand the importance of stabilization processes to successful trauma healing
  2. Summarize the goal and core components of The Resilience Toolkit
  3. Apply an ecologically sensitive lens when interpreting trauma
  4. Understand the critical value of an embodied awareness of personal stress and relaxation physiology to self-regulation capacity
  5. Learn and practice mindfulness and movement practices that can regulate trauma triggers and distressing stress system activation

About the Presenter: 

Ana Rosa Najera is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Facilitator of The Resilience Toolkit, Green Belt Nia Instructor, and Certified TRE Provider. With almost 20 years of experience working in mental health, Ana Rosa specializes in child welfare, school readiness, and holistic integrative health. 


CEUs: 2.0 CEU hours for LCSW’.s, MFT’, and LPC’s. Note: Registered Associate Clinical Social Workers -- as long as your supervisor approves participation, you can now use CEs toward LCSW hours

Parking: In addition to street parking, two kosher markets, Glatt Mart and Elat, have given permission to use their parking spaces, behind their stores on Saturdays. They are both located on Pico Blvd, between Wooster and Shenandoah Streets. If you park in their lots, (on the South side of Pico) cross to the North side of Pico, and walk one long block north on Shenandoah St. to 1110 S. Shenandoah.
