Description:  

This presentation will provide clinicians with an overview of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) by teaching the main concepts of ACT as well as how to conceptualize a case from an ACT perspective. Participants will learn how ACT interventions can augment their current practice. Included are ACT-based psychological assessment tools and case conceptualization forms.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify the differences between CBT and ACT.
  2. Describe the six Core Concepts of ACT.
  3. Discuss case conceptualization from an ACT perspective.

Logistics: 

2 CEUs for LCSWs, MFTs and LPCCs. CEUs and brunch are free for members. Nonmembers: fee for attendance and coffee and snacks is $10, plus $20 if you want CEUs. If supervisors for ASWs approve, 2 hours may count toward licensure. Students and brand new graduates may attend free.
