Description: Nina Unger, LCSW will discuss tools and resources for caregivers, and how therapists can support caregivers. Shauna Smith, MFT will present a personal perspective from her new memoir, Missing Father with discussion about what it is like to be a caregiver as a child and an adult.

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn:

  1. Tools for caregivers to prevent fatigue and burnout.

  2. What resources are available to caregivers.
  3. What caregivers specifically need from therapists and others who support them.
  4. The stark realities of caring for a loved one.
