The CSCSW Emerging Professionals Symposium

Lessons from the front lines: A cross-generational dialogue

Presented by the California Society for Clinical Social Workers Sacramento/Davis District

Hear emerging clinicians in pre-licensed practice discuss their observations of the field.  Topics include: an examination of clients’ expectation of immediate results with their mental health issues; a call for clinicians to respond to the devastating upsurge of sex trafficking in youth, along with learning to use a new assessment tool for this issue; and finally, an exploration of the tensions between macro and micro influences in social work.

The symposium will be moderated by a panel of senior clinicians who will facilitate an invigorating discussion. 2 CEUs provided - free to members, $20 to nonmembers.

Complementary brunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. – Presentations will begin at noon.
