PRESENTERS: This program will be jointly presented by Dr. Steven N Adelsheim, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, and Dr. Meg Durbin, Cofounder and a Member of the HEARD Alliance (a health care response to adolescent depression). Dr. Durbin has an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Practice at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

PRESENTATION SUMMARY: There has been a continuing concern around teen stress and suicide in our local community. Recently, The Atlantic Monthly Magazine focused their cover article on the issues around teen suicide in Palo Alto. This program will inform us about what is being done locally and beyond to address teen stress and suicide. Our speakers will also summarize clinical aspects of early detection and early intervention services for teens.
