Midpeninsula District Meeting

At this presentation, we will:

Understand the implications of the shift in social work education toward competency-based professional education models driven by changes in accreditation standards"

Understand recent theoretical development and key concepts about how emerging professionals learn to be competent and effective practitioners"

Be able to evaluate common supervision methods for our profession with a critical eye as to how to best develop effective practitioners for the future

All meetings are held at our NEW LOCATION – Palo Alto Medical Foundation, 795 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. The meeting room is on the third floor next to the café. Parking below the building is available and free. Take the main elevator. Meeting time is 12:00 – 2:00PM with the first 15 minutes reserved for signing in and networking. The presentation starts at 12:15PM following announcements. 1.5 CEUs will be offered for LCSWs, MFTs and LPCCs per meeting as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Members earn credits at no cost. Credits for non-members are $15 per meeting.
