"Energy Psychology Techniques in Clinical Practice"

Overview: This course will review the history and theory of Energy Psychology (EP). Course participants will be asked to take part in a didactic group activity to explore an overview of Emotional Freedom Technique. Course participants will also be instructed on how to integrate EP into clinical practice through case presentation, group activity, and group discussion.

Goals/ Objectives:

As a result of this course participants will be able to describe 2 ways that:

1) Energy Psychology Techniques can be integrated into their clinical practice.

2) Participants will be able to name 2 Specific Energy Psychology Methods.

3) Participants will be able to identify 2 simple techniques they can integrate into their clinical practice or self-care practice.

About the Presenter:

Rachel Michaelsen, LCSW started integrating Energy Psychology (EP) techniques into her clinical practice over 13 years ago and received a Diplomat in Comprehensive Energy Psychology in February of 2009. She currently uses EP in her clinical practices in Oakland and teaches courses in Energy Psychology, Vicarious Traumatization, Clinical Supervision, Law and Ethics and DSM-5 as well as providing clinical supervision and consultation.
